Just to be clear - there is no proposal to have anyone other than the jurisdictional representative for a given URI's jurisdiction to perform any updates to URI status.
IE, Alberta is responsible for, and will when appropriate, adjust any of our URIs that are currently Draft (or for that matter, any status) to any other status.
Am I understanding the ask correctly, or is the proposal to have someone (at Infoway?) modify the status of URIs? - IMO, this should not be done without specific input for the associated jurisdiction...
We have received a request to create a publication for the Canadian URI Registry.
Upon discussion of this request, there was some pushback and a request to post the issue here for community comment.
One issue that was noted is that a number of the entries are still in an "Authoring" state.
There is also the issue of changing the status of NamingSystem resources from 'draft' to 'active'.
Please post your comments or thoughts on the above two issues into this forum.
Also, if there are any other comments about cleanup that should be done prior to publication, please post them here for the community to discuss.
