Terminology Server Progress Update & Evaluation Survey

Capture2Since the launch of the Terminology Server in July 2024, we have focused on enhancing user experience through live drop-in sessions, comprehensive training resources, and additional functionalities based on your valuable feedback. These efforts have significantly improved the server’s usability, supporting a smooth transition from the Terminology Gateway to the new Terminology Server.

Implementing the Terminology Server has deepened our understanding of your terminology needs, allowing us to deliver value-driven terminology services. In response to your feedback, we are working closely with our vendor to improve the user interface, simplify access, and better support the download of Terminology artifacts in preferred formats such as pCLOCD (Excel), SNOMED CT (RF2), ValueSets (Excel), and CCDD (Zip package).

PrescribeIT® User Updates

Please note, as part of this transition, most content hosted on Terminology Gateway (SNOMED CT CA, pCLOCD, CCDD, and Subsets) will be decommissioned by March 2025. However, to support current operations, Infoway will maintain PrescribeIT® terminology on the Terminology Gateway (TG). As such, PrescribeIT® users will not be immediately affected by the transition to the Terminology Server and should continue using the Terminology Gateway as usual. In the future, the PrescribeIT® team will support users in adopting the new Terminology Server APIs. This ensures operational needs are met while allowing vendors ample time to transition and supporting a more seamless changeover.

Maximize Your Terminology Server Use

The FAQ section and Shrimp User Guide within the Training Resources library have been updated. We encourage you to explore the training resources available on the Terminology Server page to maximize your use of the server’s features. We are also exploring options to redirect existing Canonical FHIR URIs to an InfoCentral page that will provide detailed browsing and content access instructions. Updates will be shared as details are finalized.

Terminology Server Evaluation Survey: We Value Your Feedback

Your feedback is essential in helping us refine our services. We invite you to participate in our evaluation survey, open from November 19 to December 3rd, 2024. This survey takes approximately 3-5 minutes to complete, and your insights will help directly inform areas for improvement.

If you have questions or would like to share additional feedback, please reach out via our Contact Us form

Thank you for your continued partnership; we look forward to your input as we work together to enhance our Terminology services.
