The Canadian Nurses Association have endorsed the adoption of standardized clinical reference terminologies: ICNP and SNOMED-CT, C-HOBIC and LOINC Nursing physiologic assessment panel. The adoption of a standardized terminology in EHRs for nursing, in all care settings, will advance the health outcomes of Canadians and our Canadian health care system.
