About

SDoH Working Group Continues to meet:

Third Tuesday of the month at 12:00 (EDT/EST).

We start our new meeting series Tue, Nov 21, 2023: 12:00 to 1:00 pm EDT.

This group is facilitated by Jennifer Lawson.

Overview: Explore how to incorporate social determinants of health (SDOH) concepts into digital health systems. SDOH are the social and economic factors that have an influence on a person's health. Inequities occur when a person experiences poorer outcomes and quality of care based on who they are, where they live or what they have. The working group will focus on data standards for the collection, use and sharing of SDOH data within digital health systems toward improvements in health equity.

Focus for 2023-24: The Infoway SDOH working group will be focusing its work on defining SDoH value sets across relevant Canadian terminologies and classifications, working with terminology specialist partners.
