Digital Health Study seeking participants from Quebec - Nurses, Pharmacists, and Physicians !

Interesting comment "The postings in this community have been quiet recently," I feel that this has been a major problem in that it is extremely difficult to get physicians to participate in any sort of discussion about computer based patient records. Of course there is a lot of uninformed opinionating and there are are many important issues that keep getting labeled as being 'out of scope'. We are getting farther and farther behind with what the Gartner model described with regard to moving from documentation systems to mentor systems. The cost benefit for these low level systems is 1:1 but for the more advanced mentor systems it would be a savings of $12 dollars for every dollar put in. Unfortunately, we seem to be stuck in what vendors describe as 'minimal viable systems' that are contributing significantly to physician burnout.

The postings in this community have been quiet recently, but I'm hoping there will be more engagement opportunities to share in 2021.

If you or a friend/colleague are a practicing nurse, pharmacist, or physician in the province of Quebec, you may be interested in this study from the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University supported by Canada Health Infoway, titled "Optimizing the Use of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS)".

The goal of the study is to collect feedback from users of electronic medical records (EMRs) and pharmacy information systems (PMS) on the functionality of these digital health solutions in order to identify improvements that could be made. The results of the study will be used to inform the work of Infoway and contribute to the delivery of value from such systems.

The study leads are Julien Quinty, MD, Bsc Erg, CCMF, family doctor and professor in the Department of Family and Emergency Medicine at Laval University, Alexa Bernier-Sylvestre, PharmD, B.Sc, community pharmacist, Sarah Belzile, PharmD, B .Sc, community pharmacist and FMG pharmacist, and Holly O. Witteman. PhD, professor and researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of Laval University.
