Minutes
- Ross Shnaper (CIHI) shared details, considerations, and lessons-learned from the use of FHIR's IG Publisher for creating CIHI's Integrated interRAI Reporting System (IRRS) (could the presentation be published to this forum?)
- Recognition from many on call that IG Publisher and Simplifier should support accessibility requirements, as they are required for both Ontario (AODA) and US (Section 508 Compliance) -- both of which require WCAG 2.0's Level AA compliance
- Finnie has raised accessibility requirements w/ Lloyd McKenzie -- HL7 is aware of need but no timelines yet
- During Infoway's first discussion with Firely re: AODA requirements, Firely indicated not yet on roadmap
- Ron will raise accessibility requirements with US Realm Council (in his role as International Affiliates rep)
- FHIR Shorthand was briefly discussed; Jean has used it and it is much more efficient for creating the JSON files, but doesn't replace the IG Publisher process; does allow for easily changing/swapping templates
- Next update from Infoway re: Simplifier, publication, authoring might be in a week or two; Joel will post meeting announcement on InfoCentral before the call

Hi again,
Apologies, an amendment to the agenda. Item #1 will not be fielded during the Friday call. Item #2 will be the main focus of the meeting.
Thank you!

Hi all,
Similar to the occurrence two weeks ago, Friday's occurrence of the timeslot regularly used for Canadian Core Governance (and previously Solution Architecture) will be used to host the following agenda topics:
1) Ron Parker's brief update on the Infoway Governance project / Sierra Systems' Governance Report (will start promptly at 2pm as Ron has a hard stop at 2:10)
2) Ross Shnaper from CIHI, on CIHI's use of FHIR Tooling toward publishing process of Implementation Guides for consumption by vendors
(I've heavily simplified the agenda topics, so folks who are part of these items please feel free to reply in this thread if there is added context you would like to give to your item)
Going forward, the intent is to continue to use this timeslot for Canadian Core Governance agendas.
Thank you!
(p.s. the event on the forum calendar of events displays as FHIR Solution Architecture)
