Good morning,

The slides used to discuss the options for encoding Cancer Pathology Synoptic reports have been posted to InfoCentral for future reference and can be found here: infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/resources/docs/snomedct/presentations/pathology-sct/2467-cancer-pathology-synoptic-discussion-snomed-ct-and-loinc

I have updated the slides to include a one page summary of what was discussed in the meeting.

It was a great call. We had ~50 participants, including Pathologist, eHealth agency representatives from each province, vendors, the CAP, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, consultants and SNOMED International.

I would like to encourage everyone who participated to join the SNOMED International Cancer Synoptic Reporting Clinical Project Group. confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/CSRPG/Cancer+Synoptic+Reporting+Clinical+Project+Group

You will need a SNOMED International Confluence account that can be requested via this link: confluence.ihtsdotools.org/

When you make a request for an account, please let them know that you wish to join the Cancer Synoptic Reporting Clinical Project Group at the same time.

As discussed on the call yesterday, Dr. Scott Campbell has kindly shared a draft of the encoded melanoma worksheet and it can be found here: infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/resources/docs/snomedct/presentations/pathology-sct/2464-draft-encoded-melanoma-synoptic-reporting-worksheet

He has also shared a draft of the CDA report section headers for public comment and review and it can be found here:
infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/resources/docs/snomedct/presentations/pathology-sct/2463-draft-cda-sections-for-a-synoptic-pathology-report

This header is still very much a work in progress and I know that the Clinical project group would appreciate any comments and/or suggestions, so please do take the time to review, especially if you are doing work in CDA.

As for next steps, Infoway will do its best to monitor these international discussions and will share new information as it becomes available and book any follow up discussions as required.

If you have any questions in the meantime about these discussions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you.

Regards,

Andrea
