Dear Colleagues,

The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has published the following new Technical Framework Supplement for trial implementation as of July 25, 2022:

Note: This new Radiology supplement was created using the Implementation Guide (IG) publisher. It is published as HTML and includes a full set of conformance resources and examples. For those unfamiliar with reviewing IHE Profile requirements in FHIR® Implementation Guide format, a guide for reviewing them is available here .

IMPORTANT:
• IMR is not yet recommended for production use. Profiles released for Trial Implementation by IHE Radiology typically ARE expected to be stable enough for production use; however, this release of IMR is intended for experimental implementation and feedback.
• IMR uses the FHIR ImagingSelection resource which is at maturity level 1 . Maturity 1 resources are likely to be updated in the future with backward incompatible changes.
• IMR uses the FHIR DiagnosticReport resource to model specialty agnostic imaging reports with interactive multimedia content. Further modeling may expose issues which also result in backward incompatible changes.
• Experimental implementation feedback may also result in other backward incompatible changes to the profile.
The profile contained within the above document may be available for testing at subsequent IHE Connectathons. The document is available at profiles.ihe.net/RAD/ or here . Comments on this and all Radiology documents are welcome at any time and can be summitted at Radiology Public Comments .

Regards, David.
