Hello All,

DICOM is seeking public comments for Supplement 209 - Revision of the DICOM Conformance Statement.

Scope and Field of Application
This Supplement provides updates to PS3.2, redefining the content and structure of the DICOM Conformance Statement to
o Better meet the needs of all user groups (service, R&D, testing, sales …)
o Better facilitate comparability of different products’ DICOM functionality
o Provide essential information in Tables
o Avoid ambiguities/inconsistencies between different vendor documentations
o Address functionalities not currently documented (web services, security)
o Provide a detailed template that could be used by vendors for populating information

Instructions for accessing the documents and submitting comments:
1. Download documents from the website (www.dicomstandard.org/comment)

 PDF DOCUMENT - sup209_pc.pdf
 WORD DOCUMENT - sup209_pc.docx
 PPT OVERVIEW - sup209_pc.pptx
(To facilitate the readers’ understanding of this new proposed addition to the DICOM Standard, the authors prepared a PowerPoint presentation which describes the technical issues and use cases.)

2. Submit comment(s): Send your comments to Shayna Knazik (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) via free text or Word Document. Be sure to include the following information:
 Commenter’s name, affiliation, e-mail address.
 Comment – may be a higher-level statement or a detailed technical comment with tables, illustrations, cut-and-paste from the draft, etc.
 Proposed solution – may be a higher-level statement or a marked-up version or new text, tables, illustrations, etc.
 Line numbers associated with your comment(s).


Please review the documentation and submit any comments as soon as possible but no later than 11:59pm on Sunday August 22, 2021.
