To: The DICOM Community:
Dr. Greg Zeller is stepping down as user co-chair for DICOM WG-10, Strategic Advisory. Therefore the DICOM Secretariat is issuing a call for WG-10 User Co-chair nominations.
 The Call is open from today – 12 December 2018 and will close 13 January 2019.
 Nominations / self-nominations should be sent via e-mail by 13 January 2019 to the DICOM Secretariat at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and include (a) a brief recent CV, (b) a short statement highlighting the nominee’s relevant qualifications and (c) the reason for seeking this office.
 Following the close of nominations, a confidential Letter Ballot will be circulated to by the Secretary.
DICOM User Co-Chair Responsibilities
Together with the Industry Co-Chair the responsibilities of User Co-Chair are as follows:
 Help oversee WG-10 activities and preside over meetings.
 Offer insights on issues of common interest to the DICOM Community (in particular, users of the Standard as well as developers and implementers) and contribute to strategy and planning sessions.
 Advise the Secretary on emerging issues, review and comment on documents impacting DICOM, as needed.
 As needed, represent the DICOM Standard and the DICOM Community at external events.
