Canada Health Infoway and Dedalus Forge Partnership to Advance Healthcare Interoperability

Canada Health Infoway, in collaboration with Dedalus, is excited to announce a new partnership aimed at revolutionizing healthcare interoperability across Canada with an innovative Terminology Solution. This strategic collaboration has resulted in the procurement of a managed service Terminology Solution set to be a crucial resource for standards SMEs, government agencies, specification developers, and healthcare consumers nationwide.

The solution is powered by Ontoserver from CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. CSIRO’s Ontoserver product is a world-leading clinical terminology server implementing FHIR terminology services and supporting syndication–based content.

The Terminology Solution offers numerous benefits, including improved healthcare interoperability, simplified adoption of clinical terminologies and other code systems, and timely access to national and international standards. It promises to facilitate the seamless exchange of information and significantly enhance clinical decision support and analytics capabilities.

In the coming months, Infoway and Dedalus will work through a strategic and comprehensive rollout plan and onboarding process to support the launch of the new Terminology Solution, without impacting the exceptional services our stakeholders rely on.

This partnership signifies a pivotal moment in the advancement of healthcare technology in Canada.
