Updated -- SNOMED CT Affiliate License Agreement and SNOMED CT Canadian National Release License Agreement

The SNOMED CT Affiliate License Agreement has been updated and modernized to provide greater clarity and to include some additional rights.

Organizations and vendors that have implemented SNOMED CT International and/or Canadian Editions should update the license agreements to align with the enhanced versions published by SNOMED International and Canada Health Infoway.

A few highlights of these updates include:

  • amendments in the areas of internet security, standards-based derivatives, access to personal data translated affiliate licenses, use of trademark
  • changes to additional rights for affiliate members
  • simplified and modernized licensing for system use

Full details of the amendments are available and listed as a table in our briefing note.

The SNOMED CT Canadian National Release License Agreement has also been updated to align and reflect the changes made by SNOMED International.

The updated license agreements can be accessed on InfoCentral.
