In July 2020, Canada Health Infoway kicked off the SNOMED CT® Immunization Redesign Project - Update to the Community. Over the course of five sessions, enhancements to the existing SNOMED CT CA Immunization content and model were discussed. These enhancements include updates to naming conventions in both CA and SNOMED International Editorial Guidelines for tradename and generic products for the September 2020 SNOMED CT CA Release:
- Naming conventions
- Semantic tag changes
- Product qualitative strength
- Subset updates related to concept replacements
- Influenza and combined ingredients vaccines specific requirements
- Dose form
