You can find the details on the recording of the hosted CA Baseline session to go through our community review approach and the framing presentation describing the development process for the CA Core+ content to date: infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/forum/266-fhir-implementations/5218-new-releases-of-the-ps-ca-ca-fex-and-ca-core-specifications-are-now-available#8887

That post also includes details on how to participate in the ballot process and key dates.

Can we make sure that the session on the 15th is recorded. I will be off that day but I will review the recording.

Good afternoon,

Infoway presented about the balloting cycle process in November, with the intent to trial the ballot process for Draft (DFT) specifications collecting feedback in January/February 2024. We also highlighted the possibility of using that same cycle to trial the review and ballot process for an early subset (v0.1 DFT) of profiles under the CA Core+ project. After discussion with the FHIR Implementer community, we are putting forward the intent to ballot these draft profiles (Patient, Practitioner, PractitionerRole, Organization) for comment under CA Core+.

The CA Core+ is the expression of the pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework (p-CHDCF) in FHIR Profiles. Because the p-CHDCF is still undergoing collaborative development and is shaped by the inputs from our Canadian Communities, this early draft is expected to evolve. As such it is being put forward as an early preview into the proposed approach and an opportunity to provide feedback.

While the CA Core+ project does not currently have a hosting Interoperability Working Group (due to it being the downstream byproduct of inputs from various groups contributing to the p-CHDCF), the CA FHIR Baseline community has agreed to host review sessions of the content and to submit feedback as a community.

The public is encouraged to join these sessions, as well as to provide feedback independently through the balloting cycle. Important dates are included below:

Ballot release available for review: December 15, 2024
Ballot open for submissions from January 15 – February 14, 2024*

*With option to extend the period for feedback on these profiles if necessary

Details about how to access the content and participate in the ballot will be shared with the ballot release on Friday, December 15th.
Additional details on supportive sessions hosted by the CA FHIR Baseline will be shared on a follow-up post.

We look forward to your participation!
Sheridan, on behalf of the Infoway Interoperability Team
