Action Item Review from the 2017-01-22 Meeting
• Jan 25:2: Gavin - ping contacts to ask if they would get involved
– Gavin spoke to Apps for Health organizers and they are willing to see if their participants are interested in SMART on FHIR and Canadianizing the US Core (formerly DAF) profiles. Keep open
• Jan 25:4: Rod Thurber to reach out to RelayHealth to get involved in eReferral workstream
– Open
• Jan 25:5: Susan Anderson: find out if someone from Orion to get involved in eReferral workstream
– Open
• Jan 25:8: Shamil - use the forum to seek participants for working on a pan-Canadian approach to the Patient resource
– Open
• Jan 25:10: (ALL WG participants): any other assets that you could contribute in time for April 26 (and attending) so that FHIR North attendees could test against?
– Add update to the next meeting

Solution Arch WG:
• Igor Sirkovich gave an update – expect next week to have their plans and major topics.
o Topics received: FHIR for legacy messaging-based systems and FHIR with HIALs in the mix. Igor confirmed these topics are already named in the forum.
• They are still trying to figure out the topics and what people can work on.
• There was a question if there was a dependency on spec development but it was agreed that the work items could be mutually exclusive.
• Attila saw convergence between tooling, business case, and architecture.
• It was agreed that there may be some topics, work items, where there are dependencies.

eReferral WG:
• Feb 22 Action #1: Attila would like to discuss tooling with the eReferal WG before they make decisions about their publication tool; Attila is trying to converge publication on to the same tools.
• Feb 22 Action #2: Revise FHIR.org to HL7.org/FHIR
• Feb 22 Action #3: Report back on plans for deliverables/activities key dates.
Infoway Tooling WG:
• Feb 22 Action #4: Attila to post the work package document to the forum (COMPLETE)
• Feb 22 Action #5: Report back on plans for deliverables/activities key dates
PR/CR Work Stream:
• Progress delayed, will report back at the next meeting.
• Feb 22 Action #6: Report back on plans for deliverables/activities key dates
Business Case Work Stream:
• Feb 22 Action #7: Attila to post the work package document to the forum (COMPLETE)
• Feb 22 Action #8: Report back on plans for deliverables/activities key dates
• Tim Berenzy noted that at HIMSS FHIR is being promoted by a large number of vendors. Yaron asked for a sense of how much is hype or power point. Tim responded that his experience is in asking vendors how they could exchange data between their systems and the answer was predominately FHIR based apps. Lorraine and Frederic noted that at the HL7 connectathon there were 206 participants and they seemed to have real applications, not just playing around.
Feb 22 Action #9: Everyone to see if they can encourage others to attend the various WGs.
Infoway Tooling Update:
• Attila presented a proposed work flow from profile authoring through to code generation.
• Infoway has created an SVN repository that is publicly available and showed how Infoway is using it with various projects to produce FHIR implementation guides.
• Attila showed the swagger interface that grabs the FHIR profiles and gives you all the fields that need to be filled out and can make a call to a server to test. The next step would be to provide the ability to get a code snippet that implementers could incorporate into their products.
• Attila demonstrated the a FHIR profile repository with an adoption measure that would help reinforce the governance by adoption concept.
• Some components are available already:
o SVN public repository
o Swagger interface is also still being tested, will be publicly announced at the FHIR North Connectathon.
• The FHIR WG did not identify competing tools or barriers.
• Shamil noted that there is a need to validate the resource profiles people create
• There was a question about what it takes to provide a server at the next FHIR North Connectathon.
• Feb 22 Action #10: Gavin and Lloyd to provide an overview of the FHIR North connectathon tracks, what to expect, and how to participate – including considerations for including security in the data exchanges.

Hello,

I'm at HIMSS this week so will be trying to call in from there. Is there anybody else from this FHIR/eReferral community at HIMSS right now? It would be great to meet you and chat for a bit. (i'll be manning booth #3642 with the Ontario delegation)

You're right something seems to be odd with this file. Content wise looks okay but I have difficulty getting it to open in outlook too. Let us investigate and I'll send you an update once we know what's going on. Thanks for the note.

Thanks Attila and Gavin. I found the icon. When I try to open I get an error....the file "calendar.ics" is not a valid internet calendar file.

Hi,

Looks like if you go to an event under events there is an icon in the upper right hand side to download an iCal file for the event:
