The topic will be to discuss the challenges with identifying what manufacturer name is best to capture for a given product. The existing terminology uses what is available on the product monograph. The monograph is sometimes not clear. Based on discussion in the work group, there is a recommendation to use the name the Health Canada Drug Product Data base (DPD) uses. This is intended to be the name of the organization that is legally responsible for the product in Canada - which is what must be used for adverse event reporting and other use cases.
