IHE Radiology Technical Framework Documents Published

Hello IHE Canada Community Members,

IHE Radiology Technical Framework Volumes Published
The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has published the following updated Technical Framework Volumes (Rev. 22.0) as of June 25, 2024:

• Volume 1 (RAD TF-1): Integration Profiles
• Volume 1x (RAD TF-1x): Volume 1 Appendices
• Volume 2 (RAD TF-2): Transactions
• Volume 2x (RAD TF-2x): Volume 2 Appendices
• Volume 3 (RAD TF-3): Cross-Transaction Specifications and Content
• Volume 4 (RAD TF-4): National Extensions

Revision 22.0 of the Radiology Technical Framework includes the following changes:

--Integrate the following as Final text:
• Basic Image Review (BIR) Profile
• Web-based Image Capture (WIC) Profile
• Web-based Image Access (WIC) Profile
• Cardiac Option into the Nuclear Medicine Imaging (NMI) Profile
--Incorporate Change Proposals from Ballot 2023B and 2024A. Refer to IHE RAD CP Tracking Sheet and IHE Radiology's Incorporated CPs for details.

In 2024, IHE Radiology also moved the following profiles from 'Trial Implementation' to 'Retired':

• Chest X-Ray CAD Display (CXCAD)
• Mammography Acquisition Workflow (MAWF)
• Stereotactic Mammography Image (SMI)

The profiles contained within the above documents are available for testing at subsequent IHE Connectathons. The documents are available for download at profiles.ihe.net/RAD/. Comments on these and all Radiology documents are welcome at any time and can be submitted at Radiology Public Comments .

IHE Radiology Technical Framework Supplements Published
The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has also published the following updated Technical Framework Supplements as of June 25, 2024:

• Interactive Multimedia Report (IMR) - Rev. 1.1.0
• Management of Acquisition Protocols (MAP) - Rev. 1.2

Updates made were based on Change Proposals from Ballot 2023B and 2024A. Refer to IHE RAD CP Tracking Sheet and IHE Radiology's Incorporated CPs for details.

The profiles contained within the above documents are available for testing at subsequent IHE Connectathons. The documents are available at profiles.ihe.net/RAD/. Comments on these and all Radiology documents are welcome at any time and can be submitted at Radiology Public Comments or via an IMR GitHub Issue .

IHE Radiology White Paper Published
The IHE Radiology Technical Committee has also published the following updated White Paper as of June 25, 2024:

• Code Mapping in IHE Radiology Profiles
