Interesting study that examined how CDS (correct vs incorrect) or no CDS impacts eprescribing.

Find it here: Automation bias in electronic prescribing
Article is open access.

Another reminder about the importance of using accurate and quality information when creating CDS. Can lead to both errors of omission or commission (the paper defines these outcomes). Both can lead to patient harm.

Replied by Seema Nayani on topic PrescribeIT resources
Infoway is working with Health Canada, the provinces and territories, and industry stakeholders to create, operate and maintain a financially self-sustaining, multi-jurisdiction e-prescribing service, known as PrescribeITTM.

Here is a great site that brings together key information about PrescribeITTM , including a video and details on how to sign-up to receive updates on the service.

Kind regards,
Seema

This thread is where you can share e-Prescribing resources.

Please use the name or title of the resource, as the subject line. Also, avoid using the words "Link to" or "Document".
Please include a short (4 line) description with key words, so that members may use the search function to find the resource.
