As you know, we have assembled a significant amount of data on our DI-r's that we could use for research purposes. With the increasing development of Artificial Intelligence applications, the need for large volumes is becoming more pressing.
A hurdle we need to overcome is complying with privacy and confidentiality requirements.
I would like to suggest that we focus on developing a standard-based recognized de-identification/anonymization process for medical images and reports, which will get approved by instances such as CIHI and that we can present in our Research Ethic Board requests as the standard of practice.
