System Account – Access Request Form

Infoway’s Terminology Server (TS) provides programmatic access to Canadian health terminology content and services, including FHIR resources, artifacts, and downloadable files. This access is primarily intended to support healthcare implementations within Canadian jurisdictions including provincial/territorial systems, Canadian vendors, and researchers actively involved in national or jurisdictional projects.

Requests from outside Canada or those without a clear, aligned use case may not be approved.

A system account is required to make API calls to the Terminology Server. These accounts are intended for:

  • Canadian healthcare implementers, vendors, or researchers needing access to terminology artifacts
  • Integration with tooling such as HL7 IG Publisher or Validator
  • Synchronization into a terminology server to support a defined Canadian health use case

If you operate a terminology server or tool that that requires the integration of our terminology server, we’ll assess this based on your implementation context. Upon approval, we will provide you with a comprehensive set of instructions and access to our systems, enabling you to download FHIR resources in JSON format. These JSON files can then be imported into any terminology server to meet your specific requirements.
