Evaluation of pCLOCD publication format and change log information

It has been nearly 12 years since the first publication of the Pan Canadian Logical Observation Code Database and we want to take a moment to ask some you some questions to help us evaluate the use of specific elements of this standard.

Now published via the Terminology Gateway, one can:

  • Browse the pCLOCD terminology online
  • Download the pCLOCD MS Excel, JSON, XML, and ACCESS database files

Infoway is always looking for ways to streamline our processes and minimize our combined maintenance efforts without compromising quality.

With this in mind, we believe that there might be a few opportunities for change, such as:

  • No longer maintaining or removing the 'Change History; Current Release Change Description” and "Change History; Current Release Change Description to French Terms" fields, given the change log functionality of the Terminology Gateway. You can see an example of the Change Log in Terminology Gateway when browsing Canadian Clinical Drug Data Set (CCDD)
  • Determining what file formats are required: MS Excel, Access JSON, XML

We want to make an informed decision, a decision informed by you, the users of the pCLOCD, so please take a moment and help shape our go forward approach.
