We’re excited to announce significant enhancements to the Terminology Server, designed to support your current workflows and provide seamless access to terminology content in your preferred formats. What are the new enhancements?

The OntoCommand interface will offer a more user-friendly and intuitive experience, including:

• The ability to download Terminology Server content in your preferred formats (e.g., SNOMED RF2 Zip file, Excel);
• Search and filtering capabilities to quickly find specific criteria and terminology content;
• Additional features with your needs in mind, with more updates to come.

We are working closely with our vendor partners to ensure a smooth and effective deployment of these improvements. These enhancements represent a significant step forward in improving usability and accessibility for all users. Stay tuned for updates as we move closer to the launch.

Explore Additional Access Options

Infoway’s FHIR Terminology Server provides multiple options to integrate and explore terminology content:

• FHIR APIs: Enable programmatic integration of Terminology content.
• Syndication API feed: Automates downloads of Terminology artifacts.
• Shrimp Browser: Simplifies search and exploration of Terminology resources.

Terminology Gateway Decommission Timeline

The enhancements to OntoCommand interface are projected to launch in March 2025, coinciding with the planned decommissioning of the Terminology Gateway. This transition will streamline our services and provide a better user experience. Insights from a recent Terminology Server Evaluation Survey have shown strong community confidence in the transition plan, reinforcing our commitment to aligning with your needs.
