Changes to the SNOMED CT Canadian release cycles and International Edition release publication coming in 2024

In our effort to support greater semantic interoperability and to continuously improve services to our stakeholders, Infoway NRC will make the following changes in 2024.

These changes are aimed at delivering SNOMED CT terminology standards artifacts for use in digital health solutions, in a more timely and responsive manner.

• Starting February 2024, the NRC will move to a schedule of Quarterly Releases of the SNOMED CT Canadian Edition. Releases will be on the last day of the month in February, May, August, and November.
• Starting January 2024 the NRC will make monthly International releases available on demand. January and July releases will no longer be available for download on the Terminology Gateway. Stakeholders will be able to access monthly release packages and any derivative publication on demand by contacting us
