July 2021 SNOMED CT and pCLOCD Releases Coming Soon

As part of the semi-annual terminology update, Infoway will be releasing the updated versions of SNOMED CT and pCLOCD on July 31, 2020.

SNOMED CT is the largest and most comprehensive medical terminology in the world. The SNOMED CT International Edition is released in July and January. The SNOMED CT CA Edition, which contains concepts that are specific to use in Canada and is maintained by Infoway, is released in September and March.

LOINC® is the largest reference terminology used for Laboratory and Clinical observations in Canada today. The pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD) is a Canadian constraint of the larger LOINC terminology and includes example pan-Canadian names for jurisdictional lab viewers and recommended units of measure for use in Canada.

The releases will be available on Terminology Gateway on Monday August 2, 2021.
