As Canada’s national release centre for SNOMED CT®, Infoway’s bi-annual release of the Canadian Extension of SNOMED CT (English and French) will be available May 1, 2017. This latest release aligns with the SNOMED International January 2017 release and includes new content to support various digital health implementations across the country with:
- Tracking, reporting and monitoring of Communicable Diseases in ON and MB
- Sharing of Diagnostic Imaging reports across the various Diagnostic Imaging Repositories in ON
- Recording of Immunizations by Public Health Agencies across the country, First Nations communities and the CAN Immunize mobile app
- Support of the Primary Health Care Content Standard to inform health system planning and evaluation in addition to enabling the comparison of population health trends.
