Hi Finnie,

Thank you for your question. The pan-Canadian Patient Summary MDS document (V0.50) is open for public review from August 9, 2021 to August 23rd, 2021. If anyone misses the chance to comment during this review cycle, there is no need to worry. There will still be many opportunities to send in your feedback on the next release (V0.75). The intention is for the MDS to become a living document and comments will be welcome as we move forward.

I have updated my previous post with this information.

Thank you,
Infoway Team

Thanks for sharing the draft. Is there a deadline when you want the feedback?

Greetings,

In parallel with the work to define the Clinical Definition, use cases & requirements, the Infoway Standards team have been working on Volume 3 – Content Data Model. They have prepared a first draft of the pan-Canadian Patient Summary MDS for discussion and input. You can find a copy of this document here: Draft Pan-Canadian Patient Summary MDS V0.50

The intention is for the MDS to become a living document and comments will be welcome anytime as we move forward.

Below you can find examples of inputs into the document such as:
- Content from the PTs collected in the Knowledge Base (for example, the SK implementation and the latest draft of the AB data dictionary). Available here.
- Comparison of national and international standards, including the CIHI PHC EMR MDS , HL7 IPS, Canadian Baseline, etc. Available here

Please feel free to review and provide your feedback. If you do not have access to the Patient Summary Knowledge Base, please let us know.

Thanks,

Infoway Team
