CIHI wants to hear from you! Help shape the future of health data standards in Canada. The Pan-Canadian Health Data Content Framework is now available for Open Review. The Framework lays the foundation for Connected Care in Canada by outlining the data content and data architecture needed to enable connected, patient-centered care. Infoway is embedding the content from the Framework into the technical data exchange standards. The Open Review period will last until May 6, 2024.

The Framework includes proposed pan-Canadian gender, sex and sexual orientation (GSSO) data standards that have been developed to help improve data capture and collection across Canada and to help build a more equitable and inclusive health care system. The Open Review marks the first time that these standards are being released for public review and feedback.

Please visit the Framework webpage and submit your comments. Please feel free to share the link with anyone within your networks.

Thank you!
