Hello Everyone,
We are having our upcoming consultation session for our CIHR planning project on modernizing sex and gender information practices in electronic health records on April 28th at 12-1pm ET. (This will be our first consultation session that was originally scheduled for March 24th).
The group will be discussing policy in terms of 'What is or should be in place to guide sex and gender info practices in EHRs, e.g. principles, legislations, strategies, directives, regulations, privacy protection'.
In preparation for the meeting, the planning project folder (
infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/resources/docs/sex-gender/sgwg-planning-project) contains the following documents:
a) 'Consultation process' details the aim and timeline of our planning project.
b) Updated: 'Consultation Session 1' April 28-2020 – Policy provides the slide deck will be used as our guide for the session. If you are unable to attend the session, we welcome your feedback by emailing us with comments or your notes entered in the slide deck.
c) The 'Information Letter' details the consent process and we ask you to review it prior to participating in the consultation process.
d) The 'Treasury Board's policy direction on modernizing sex and gender' provides an example of current national policy initiatives.
