Join the Infoway Health Analytics Community on November 28th at 2-3 pm EST for a presentation by Lisa Totton, Graduate Student in Health Information Science at the University of Victoria for a presentation on Data Quality.

Lisa Totton is a Registered Nurse and health analytics professional with over 12 years of experience in Health IT. She enjoys sharing practical insights and lessons learned from navigating the challenges of data management. Lisa is passionate about fostering collaboration and helping organizations use data to support better decision-making and improve patient outcomes. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Victoria, studying health interoperability and terminology standards.

In the world of health analytics, high-quality data is the cornerstone of meaningful insights and effective decision-making. But what ensures that data is trustworthy, reliable, and fit for purpose? This presentation will provide an overview of data governance, with a specific focus on the essential role of data quality. Drawing from both the Data Management Association's (DAMA) framework and personal experiences, Lisa will share practical lessons learned from navigating the challenges of managing data. The session will also explore the real-world impact of effective data governance and invite participants to share their own perspectives and experiences.
