Hello everyone,

Join us on June 29th 2023 (Thursday) at 2:00-3:00 p.m. EST as Joseph Emmanuel Amuah from CIHI presents on an organization-wide digital transformation initiative - "Building a Better User Experience for Reporting Canadian Health Data" .

CIHI is amid an organization-wide digital transformation to improve how we work internally and serve our stakeholders.

The initiative addresses 3 major elements:

(1) Implement a new data platform that offers a faster, more flexible, automated, and cost-effective way to store, secure, enrich, integrate, calculate, visualize, and prepare data for publishing on CIHI.ca and for CIHI’s analysis and research.
(2) Introduce and expand new ways of working to increase cross-team collaboration and user-centred design practices, while also reducing bottlenecks and repetitive, duplicative operational work.
(3) Provide a new and improved data and information products on CIHI.ca by consolidating the data, methodology and visualizations we publish today in various stand-alone tools so our users can easily find, discover, and access data and information of relevance to them.

To accomplish this, a strategic, multi-year roadmap was developed in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization to guide the initiative.

This presentation will highlight the approach we are taking to the work, our challenges and learnings, and share some of the early successes of this ongoing program of work.
