Artificial Intelligence (AI) has already started to profoundly impact various aspects of our lives, including healthcare. Recognizing the immense potential of AI in revolutionizing medicine, the AI in Medicine Student Society was established in 2019 to address the existing gaps in the field. As a dynamic and innovative group, our organization is dedicated to exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. Our mission is to promote awareness, education, and collaboration among students, healthcare professionals, AI experts, and the general public/patients who are interested in leveraging AI to transform medicine. Recently, we expanded our reach by incorporating the newly formed AI in Medical Systems Society, thereby facilitating a broader engagement with diverse stakeholders. Through our wide range of initiatives, we foster a vibrant community that delves into cutting-edge AI applications, ethical considerations, and the transformative potential of AI in healthcare delivery, research, and patient outcomes. Our projects include conferences, courses, workshops, and networking events, providing opportunities for collaboration, hands-on experience, and contributions to the advancement of AI in medicine. This talk will go over some basics and applications of AI in medicine/healthcare and touch on our experience as AIMSS, whether it be the AI in Medicine Student Society or the AI in Medical Systems Society.
