The Health Analytics Community is please to host Keith Denny, director at CIHI, to present on CIHI’s Ethics Framework for data and analytics. Following is a description of his presentation:

Ethics frameworks support the identification of ethical issues, and they guide methodical consideration of specific principles with the aim of promoting decisions and action in accordance with desired values. Decisions about the collection, analysis and reporting of health data are value laden and can be complex. This presentation provides an overview of a Data and Analytics Ethics Framework developed to support relevant activities at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. It presents the rationale for and aims of this framework and it describes work underway to ensure effective and practical operationalization of the framework.
