Additionally, I'd like to share the notes and a summary from our last meeting:
Key Topic: Chris Pentleton from Infoway suggested initiating a new project in partnership with the SoF community.
Role Call & Focus Highlights:
OceanMD's Yaron spoke about alternative methods for creating data requests and the importance of shared terminology and values for Auth2.0.
Jason from Telus Health EMR discussed collaboration with OCEAN to establish a national standard.
Meditech's Gary, as a Product Manager, shared insights about the implementation of OCEAN SOF launch and the adaptability of standards.
Nick from Novari Health, a Product Owner, talked about the dual aspects of SOF implementation/use - focusing on client and server capabilities.
Caryn Harris from Orion Health mentioned their exploration of standards implementation.
Joel Pettis from SmileCDR emphasized patient context and standard maintenance.
Tim Berezny, CTO of Caredove, highlighted the inclusion of SMART launch in documentation and guidance.
Chris Pentleton from Canada Health Infoway proposed the HALO project in collaboration with the SoF community.
Dennis Cabel from VCH discussed context management service and alignment with provincial standards.
Cindy Jiang from Ontario Health focused on the rise of Viewlet in SoF standards, particularly for eReferral needs in the province.
Amir Afkham-Ebrahimi's involvement with eReferral implementation was noted.
Future Focus Suggestions by the SoF community:
Integration of write-back functionality from SMART apps to EMRs.
Expansion of CCDS and more clinical use cases within SMART-on-FHIR and FHIR-based implementations.
Inclusion of CDS hooks in the SMART-on-FHIR and pan-Canadian standard, complementing FHIRcast.
