• Continued Due Diligence Review, comparing CA Baseline with Ontario Provincial Provider Registry iGuide
• Compared both guides’ profiling of the Practitioner resource (CA Baseline: Practitioner [Registry], & PPR: Practitioner [Response])

• Practitioner.name
o CA Baseline has a business rule for invariance
o Not problematic for PPR’s .name rules
o (unrelated, to be updated to 1..* cardinality in CA Baseline)

• Practitioner.address
o CA Baseline defined an extension child element under .address
o Not problematic because the extension is not defined as Must-Support

• Practitioner.qualification.coding
o CA Baseline slices this for (1) Registry and (2) eReferral
o Both slices define .system and .code child elements as 1..1, whereas those are [MS] 0..1 in PPR
o A discrepancy, but the .qualification parent element is optional (0..1) & not Must-Support, so overall not an issue & not problematic

• Practitioner.communication
o CA Baseline has binding to CommongLanguages value set (preferred strength)
o PPR has binding to Language value set (extensible strength)
o Not problematic because CA Baseline’s binding strength is preferred, not required

• Group completed review of Practitioner Profiles
• Next session, group will move to comparing the PractitionerRole Profiles

Hi all!

A reminder that this Friday we will be sharing the 2-3pm EST timeslot for (2-2:30) the routine clinical profile updates (2:30-3) a pilot of the due diligence review process wherein we will compare the CA Baseline to Ontario's Provincial Provider Registry iGuide (will focus on the profiles common to both profile sets). This is a continuation of what we started 2 weeks ago.

For some guiding wording on the proposed process and checklist of things to look for in the comparison please look at slides 14 and 15 of the following deck: CA Baseline - Due Diligence Review Framework v0.10 - LUD July 15 2020; found here infocentral.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/resources/docs/hl7/canadian-core-profiles
