• Shamil provided updates from latest weekly meetings for Entities and Individuals Profiling Stream
• Almost done with Patient profile
• A few open issues to discuss; waiting for the authors of the outstanding issues to join the calls
• Will start with Practitioner Profile soon
• Shamil will add content to supplement the structure definition for Patient Profile on the Simplifier/IG Projects online (i.e. explain what Must Support means)
• Shamil reminds the group that some updates and proposed changes are directed at the base FHIR standard (aka HL7); these issues have to go through their standard processes and likely would not be actioned any time soon (just and FYI to the group)
• Igor provided updates from latest weekly meetings for Medications Profiling Stream
• Working well through the cardinality considerations for Medication profile
• Next step will be MedicationRequest profile
• Suggestion to post the powerpoint deck (shows summary of changes for all streams) to the InfoCentral forum for a few days before committing the changes agreed-upon and listed in the deck to GitHub
• Discussion on whether or not relaxing cardinality negatively impacts patient safety, closed loop medication
• Using ‘Must Support’ ensures that constraints are loose but elements must be supported whenever possible; local implementations can constrain the elements further
• Action Item: Scott and Mike & Sheridan to touch base next week on determining start date for Clinical Stream
• For those looking to catch up on the decisions being made in the weekly meetings (and reported out during the bi-weekly reporting meetings), all powerpoint deck summaries will be posted on the broader HL7 Community on InfoCentral here:
