Agenda & Action Items Review
Action Item Progress
• Welcome Ben to the FHIR community!
• Action items:
All closed/ no updates

Updates:
1. FHIR North Debrief
• Highly successful ~ 180 - 200 paid attendees
• Code camp participation - more attendees than at the general FHIR academy/presentations. Indicates that there is understanding of what FHIR is and now they are rolling up their sleeves to use it
• Cerner spoke about their experiences setting up an App Gallery based on Smart on FHIR
• eReferral demo was impressive - vendors launching each other
• Video recordings are available for many of the presentations:
• Feedback for next year - clearly delineate the boundaries of what the presentation portion should include and when the coding side of it begins within each session; tease apart the code camp and hackathon concepts
• Positive feedback on the level of adoption with Ontario and beyond and that further adoption is underway

HL7 Working Group Meeting (Cologne)
• June 5 HL7 Community meeting Attila will provide a full update
• Fewer US representatives, good opportunity to speak with European representatives
• Dutch are on the verge of unleashing FHIR
• UK NHS - difficulty with identity management; approach was to allow citizen to download code and then upload a selfie with them repeating the identifier and this was reviewed by an NHS representative before approving
• Only received 500 comments, so technical leadership is hopeful of a Release 4 by the end of the calendar year
• Move to a JIRA-based balloting
• Graham pioneering work to seek a consistent method of validating messages from FHIR, v2 and CDA. If this is successful, it would enable conversions on the fly
ACTION: Gavin will ask Lloyd M if he can provide an overview of the versioning discussions underway at the next community call.
