Innovation Lab – DHIR and DHDR

•DHIR and DHDR assets are now available as test assets through eHO + Mohawk College’s Innovation Lab

FHIR North

•Code camp - dedicated volunteers to help out. Call for additional endpoints that you might have developed for your product or mobile app that you would like to have testing against
•FHIR Academy - general education (e.g. What's happening in Canada and beyond)
•Track on CDS Hooks

HL7 – January Working Group Meeting (New Orleans, USA)

•250 participants in the Connection and 20+ tracks
•How to tackle versioning (different versions of FHIR and how does a product move to a new version)-should it be a single endpoint that can respond to actions from different versions or to have two (up to n) unique endpoints
•HL7 looking at making FHIR as its primary standard
eReferral
•2 day workshop to hammer out details and begin writing a draft spec

Tooling

•HL7 International has announced that Simplifier will be the FHIR Registry - FHIR.org is a façade that sits over Simplifier. Jurisdictional affiliates can share their profiles in this registry very easily
•eReferral was used as an example at the New Orleans working group
•Working on an extension to the Infoway servers to make Canadian content in Simplifier into a local store to meet legislative considerations and provide disaster recovery

Solution Architecture

•Focus on URI naming conventions (posted)
•Review of Lloyd's URI recommended practices document
•Migrating URIs from GoogleDocs to Simplifier

SMART on FHIR / CDS Hooks

•Presentations on the technical architecture and explanation of OAuth
•Upcoming topic: This Friday's meeting (March 2) will cover Oauth and what will be the strategy for enabling Smart of FHIR in Canada - key areas and where this should be documented (call for participants for both technical and policy angles that should be fleshed out)
•Will switch into CDS Hooks after Oauth has progressed
