Christian Lovis et Christophe Gaudet-Blavignac présenteront sur le sujet “Sémantique aux Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève: Le dossier patient, un livre écrit en SNOMED”. Cette présentation sera en français.

Le Service des Sciences de l'Information Médicale (SIMED) explore le domaine de la sémantique et le potentiel de SNOMED CT depuis de nombreuses années. Cette présentation s'intéressera aux récents travaux du service concernant la sémantisation des données médicales aux Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, avec un focus particulier sur la liste commune des problèmes.
About our presenters:

Prof. Christian Lovis, MD MPH FACMI
Swiss board-certified physician in internal medicine, professor of clinical informatics and director of the academic department of radiology and medical informatics at the University of Geneva and chairman of the division of Medical Information Sciences at the university Hospitals of Geneva.

His research focuses on clinical data interoperability and semantics, including medical texts, and advanced data analytics, including symbolic reasoning, rule-based systems, probabilistic approaches, and machine learning applied in clinical settings for decision-support.
Christian is Editor-in-Chief of JMIR Medical Informatics and HealthManagement.Org, academic editor of PLOS One, member of the National Advisory Board of the Swiss Personalized Health network, and of the international advisory board of the German “Medical Informatics” initiative.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Medical informatics (FACMI), was vice-chair of the HIMSS board of directors, president of the Swiss and of the European Federation of Medical Informatics and representative of Europe at the International Medical Informatics Association.

Mr. Christophe Gaudet-Blavignac MMed
Trained as physician and owner of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Christophe is currently working in the Division of Medical Information Sciences (SIMED) in Geneva and is the academic representative of institutional members of EFMI. He is currently finishing a PhD in Global Health about semantic interoperability of clinical data. His interests are medical semantics, data in healthcare, natural language processing and standardization in the aim of better use and reuse of clinical data.
