The January 2021 pan-Canadian LOINC Observation Code Database (pCLOCD) is now available on Terminology Gateway for downloading.

This release contains new content and changes based on December 2020 International release of LOINC®, and includes:
  • 52 total records with content edits in either English or French, marked as R05.13.00_2.69
  • 49 new records, including 21 SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 LOINC terms requested or identified by Canadian implementers.
If you need new codes, please submit a request for change .

pCLOCD release notes contains details on all edits, new content highlights, and key updates.

Thanks to the following contributors of this release, who work with our team to enhance pCLOCD to better support Canadian implementers needs:
  • Jurisdictional implementers for their continuous feedback, and support in the form of submitting requests for change, reporting any inconsistencies or syntax errors.
  • pCLOCD French translation working group for providing translation services and validation for the requests for change and release updates.
  • Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) for their continued collaboration on updating the MIS Service Activity Reporting attribute for pCLOCD codes. To find out more about MIS Standards, visit CIHI’s website .
