Hello
Immunization nomenclature has been an interesting and valuable topic in this PHS Community. The PHS Community and Infoway have initiated an InfoCentral working group called Immunization Interoperability Working Group to address the interoperability requirements for: consumers or health providers updating immunization records in the jurisdiction immunization information system; and consumers or health providers viewing an immunization profile or history from the jurisdictional immunization information system.

The focus will be a bit more broad than the Vaccine Nomenclature group and will include Clinical Requirements, Data Elements (the nomenclature will be covered here) and messaging standards.

if you are interested in contributing to and collaborating with stakeholders I would like to invite you to please join this working group. For this working group to be effective and the product relevant for all users, we are looking for representation from the following stakeholder groups:
Clinicians who administer vaccines (nurses, physicians, pharmacists),
EMR and Pharmacy vendors,
Jurisdictional technical resources working on Immunization projects.
Public health clinicians

Those interested in participating or receiving regular updates should join the working group here ic.infoway-inforoute.ca/en/collaboration/wg/immunization-interoperability

thankyou
