Feedback Requested: CVC Public Picklist Term

Hi everyone,

As mentioned on the PHSC call yesterday, CANImmunize is seeking feedback on our proposal to modify the CVC Public Picklist term for Herpes Zoster (Shingles). See below for a summary.

Current CVC Public Picklist Terms

• Zoster (Shingles)
  
• Zoster (Shingles) non-live
  
• Zos

Proposed CVC Public Picklist Terms

• Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
  
• Herpes zoster (Shingles) non-live
  
• Herpes zoster (Shingles) live attenuated

Rationale for this update: PHAC refers to this vaccine as "Herpes zoster (Shingles)" in the Canadian Immunization Guide. Therefore, we'd like to remain consistent with what Canadians would see on the official government resource and the CANImmunize public app.

If your systems use the CVC Public Picklist Term and you have any concerns that this update may have downstream effects, please don't hesitate to let us know. The deadline to provide feedback is on Wednesday, December 13th.
