A request to create the OIDs will be processed by EOD. The deprecation of the OID will follow as a comment will be put in the deprecated OID to use the new OIDS. Please voice any concerns as soon as possible.

We are requesting that OID 2.16.840.1.113883.4.289 be deprecated, and 2 new OIDs to represent delivery site identifiers be created to replace it. This is because implementers have used the existing OID for two different identifier sets and we need to create clean namespaces for the two sets.

Namespace (type 4) OID Request (x2)
OID Description: “Alberta, Canada Delivery Site Registry Identifier”
OID Symbolic name: abDSRID

OID Description: “Alberta, Canada Wellnet Distributed Facility Identifier”
OID Symbolic name: abWDFA

Responsible Body & Contact Information - included in document
Both To be published: HL7 OID registry (no FHIR URI at this time)

Alberta Delivery Site Identifier OIDS
