As a result of the discussion to add Valved holding chamber devices to the CCDD at the Jan 23rd call and further review of the required content, we are proposing the following:
1 - Device manufactured product concepts will not be added to CCDD in the near term
2 - We propose the addition of 4 Valved holding chamber device concepts to the Device NTP file. They include the following:
Valved holding chamber with infant mask
Valved holding chamber with child mask
Valved holding chamber with adult mask
Valved holding chamber with mouthpiece
The Canadian Network for Respiratory Care are still considering publishing the Manufactured Product concepts for the valved holding chamber devices on their website.
We welcome input to the above proposal and will confirm the path forward in March.
