On behalf of the Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB) of Health Canada and Infoway I am very please to let everyone know the CCDD team has now achieved the following milestones:
The CCDD is now available in both English and French. A big thankyou to the French Advisory Group who provided advice and guidance. This means that French Descriptions have been added to applicable CCDD files and supporting documentation is available in
French
. Further enhancements to the Terminology Gateway to allow a toggle between English and French is expected to be available shortly.

Health Canada has established a CCDD Unit and transition of operational activities from Infoway to HPFB is complete and Infoway will continue to have a role in the governance of the CCDD
Improving the quality of patient care through the effective sharing of clinical information among health care organizations, clinicians and their patients.
