Dr. Hakique Virani is an Edmonton-based addiction specialist and a leading voice on this most pressing public health issue. He will speak candidly on a range of topics, from the considerations for population health and policy interventions to the risks of changing substance hazards and responsible risk mitigation. He will also share his thoughts on the critical gaps in our surveillance of substance use, morbidity and mortality.
