Easy Access to Canadian Clinical Content in SNOMED International Browser

SNOMED CT® is a comprehensive clinical terminology that is used globally in electronic health record (EHR) systems. SNOMED CT concepts can be integrated into user interfaces (UIs) natively, or can be mapped to existing UI terms to support data quality, analytics, as well as technical and semantic interoperability. SNOMED CT is a complex terminology and finding Canadian content can be challenging for implementers.

To help ensure that our stakeholders can easily explore the Canadian Edition of SNOMED CT content, we have created a brief, easy-to-follow guide to using the SNOMED International Browser. Using the browser, Canadian stakeholders are empowered to ensure the EHRs and systems they are designing, implementing and maintaining, use pan-Canadian terminology content.
