Mark your calendars for Digital Health Week. This year, the week-long celebration of digital health will be held from November 12-18. Digital Health Week celebrates how digital health is transforming the delivery of care across Canada and the world.
Digital health means the convenience of being able to contact your doctor through email or text, and the peace of mind of knowing you can look at your personal health record online whenever you want. It’s no more worries about lost and damaged paper prescriptions and knowing that your doctor has your full medical history, including notes from visits to other health care providers. It’s avoiding unnecessary trips to the ER through programs such as telehomecare, which can improve your quality of life.
Patients, caregivers and health care professionals are all invited to share their experiences and perspectives in conversations that will inform digital health in Canada.
It’s easy to participate:
- Share your story of how digital health has helped you or your family using the hashtag #ThinkDigitalHealth
- Join the #HCLDR community for a Digital Health Week tweet chat on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 8:30 p.m.
