This presentation will help to unpack LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) and why it is such an important contributor to better patient outcomes. This beginner level education session was designed for anyone interested in becoming acquainted with the terminology standard used for identifying laboratory and clinical observations in health information systems.

During this webinar, participants will be provided with:

  • An introduction to LOINC and pCLOCD (pan-Canadian version of LOINC)
  • Additional information on how to use this terminology and contribute to its on-going evolution
