This presentation helps to explain how the collection of standardized patient information facilitates better patient care. This beginner level education session was designed for clinicians and those interested in learning about how standardized clinical content is captured and made available.

During this session, the participants will be introduced to:

  • How clinicians collect standardized patient information in their clinical information systems
  • The standards that are employed “under the covers” to help make this happen; and
  • How patients and clinicians can access and benefit from this standardized information capture

  • comment les cliniciens consignent l'information normalisée sur le patient dans leurs systèmes d'information clinique;
  • les normes employées « dans les coulisses » pour rendre ce travail possible;
