Paired with the July 2019 pCLOCD release, we are excited to share our brand new pCLOCD logo! Our ‘LOINC® in Canada’ tag line is telling of how all of you, as a community, have made this standard meet the needs of Canadian implementers.
Be sure to check out the logo while visiting our pCLOCD page that has all you need to know about this standard.

We would like to give special thanks to eHealth New Brunswick and eHealth Saskatchewan, for working closely with us in this release to provide high quality assurance and maintenance of this standard. We value your efforts and thank you very much for your contributions.

Also, thank you to all implementers from across jurisdictions that provided valuable feedback when we investigated the 22 now deprecated LOINC codes in this release, these codes were originally created and intended for Ordering in Canada and causing confusion to mappers Internationally. With your support, we were able to make the decision based on the use of these codes to mark them inactive in pCLOCD. Likewise, we appreciated all of your responses to our pCLOCD survey distributed back in May. We are already working towards significant pCLOCD enhancements and are excited to share further details soon.

In addition, we wish to thank the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) for their continued collaboration on updating the MIS Service Activity Reporting attribute for pCLOCD codes. Further information about service activity, the principles and process used to define this attribute in pCLOCD may be obtained by reviewing the MIS Standards or emailing Cette adresse courriel est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Feel free to do any or all of the above by sending us an email at: Cette adresse courriel est protégée contre les robots spammeurs. Vous devez activer le JavaScript pour la visualiser..
